Our values are in the wrong place. The only way change will occur is if individuals stop rewarding big business. We are the reason the celebrities and athletes make so much money. It is a vicious cycle ... the more discouraged and helpless people feel, the more they turn to superficial pleasures, buy crap they don't need, eat and drink too much.
All we can do is each try to set a good example, vote and make changes (the best we can) in our government (and keep letting our representatives what we expect from them!
Free enterprise allows for a lot of bull$#it trickery among large companies (phone, etc.) and how pathetic are we to fall for the sickening marketing ploys of junk we don't need or even enjoy once we have it?!
I'm only touching on one aspect of what you mentioned, but I think I have said enough. :) |
