you can always hit cancel which just means that it will exit you from spellchecker no corrections will be saved and  you will have to start over ...  no beeping on mine at all -- NONE ANYWHERE IN BAYSCRIBE -- and my ALT-tab works fine  --although I usually use my mouse and lower task bar to get to the screen I want ... You might be using a version customized to your employer's specificiations. ... so I'd recommend checking with coworkers or your company's website if applicable ... after you check your online bayscribe manual ,,, Sorry not to be much help ...
