reading and RE-reading the feedback you are getting also. I find that a portion of the MT world that insist they are getting conflicting QA feedback is actually confused about how to apply different rules for dictation in different situations.
I have given clear and concise feedback to MTs one day and 3 days later I will give additional feedback on something else. Then I get email from the same MT telling me "you said XXX." Trouble is, yes I said that, but it was for 1 job and 1 particular set of circumstances. They seem to want everything in black and white across the board and that's not the way this job is. A rule is not to be applied 100% of the time, there are always exceptions.
Unfortunately, if they are saying you need to be out of editing by that date, they expect your work should be acceptable to send to the client without being double-checked or they will let you go. |
