Hello, I am currently looking for employment in either In-House transcription near Spring Hill, Florida or employment with a company that will provide the computer and equipment needed. Any information is appreciated.

You want an awful lot don't you? No one is going to hand you a job or do job research for you. Your posting comes off with a bit of entitlement attitude. But here's some advice: The company board offers suggestions and outlooks on particular companies. The job seeker's board contains job ads and the job wanted board is the place you might want to post this.

Some people on this board have lives that are such abysmal voids that they seem to feel the need to boost their egos by stomping on others, especially newcomers. Ignore them, as they are of little consequence here.

You asked a simple question. Nothing wrong with that. They didn't have to be rude. Sometimes it's better not to answer posts than to answer rudely and risk the chance of being banned.

Really, I cannot think of anything worse in our profession than MTs who pick the best work or come in off their shift and essentially steal income from their coworkers. That is who should be spoken to with this snidely composed message of yours, not someone looking for work in a jobless economy. Lighten up. You give us a bad name.

I think some people forget that they once were exactly where you are. Best place to start is to go through these forums, but take everything you see with a grain of salt. There is no such thing as a perfect company. Each company, like each person, is different and has different expectations. Then, you kind of just need to take an educated leap of faith and apply. I'm sorry you didn't like the responses, but every few days we see a post like yours, someone with or without experience looking for a job or asking about the MT field. They get pounced on and then come back with insults and things turn ugly.

If you need help, by all means read the archives of these boards, the job listings, there is much information to be had, but asking open ended questions just tells us you haven't read the board or you would know the answers to your questions. We get tired of answering the same questions multiple times a week, hence the testy replies or dislikes. Good luck to you.

is read the Job Seeker's Board. See link to the left. Then if you see something that looks good, you go to the Company Board (again, see link) and ask "What can you tell me about XYZ Company?" Also check indeed.com every day.

Has anyone else answered ads for them. You do a really EASY test. They offer to train you for free.. then send you emails... basically to schedule a job interview. You text them. They send you this agreement, which says that in order to work for them you need to plunk out $450 to buy their software.. This does not quite seem on the level to me.. In a nutshell, I graduated from Career Step in 2007 with High Honors and worked for TRS for a year. I was happy at TRS and produced quality work (98.5% accuracy). Then life intervened and the past few years have been rough. Fifteen years ago, I worked for a certain employer and was terminated after 4 months in a particular position. I recently applied to that same employer for the same job. I worked for Viera Diagnostic in Viera, Florida for the past 3 years. I broke my leg recently and they said they didn't need me anymore, as I need physical therapy three times a week to insure mobility in the future. Hello All, I just received the results of my pre-employment testing. I have not had to "score" on a test in quite some time.
