$0.90/audio minute - Just Me

Straight typing or VR? I make $1.15 for straight typing.

per minute line rate - my calculations

I always figured 100 minutes was 100 lines, and when making 10 cpl or more, 100 minutes = $100 give or take but usual average.

Now that we have been greatly undercut on cpl rates, the $0.90 per minute rate should mean $90 for 100 minutes/lines.

Thus, the $0.90 rate is actually better than nearly all companies as even 8 or 8.5 cpl is a rarity these days.

90 cents per audio minute - sm

is $54 per audio hour. If it takes 3 hours to type one audio hour, that would be $18/hour. If it took you 4 hours, that would be about $13/hour.

Can Someone Tell Me About Pay By Audio Minute/page?
Sep 28, 2013

I am getting ready to test for this company (not medical) for a transcription job. They advised me that their starting pay (depending on account) is 0.40 per audio minute up to $1.25 per audio minute and then they have some accounts that pay 0.65 per page up to $1.75 per page. Does anyone know if I could make decent money doing this full-time? Pay Per Audio Talking Minute
Jan 16, 2015

Note, these are non-MT jobs. I have been applying to jobs that pay per "audio talking minute." These are all basically customer service jobs which might include a little tech help and also might include some upselling. Anyone have a take on this? I guess I'm curious what "audio talking minute" means. I'm assuming it means not ...

Fox Transcriptions Pay Of 40-50 Cents Per Audio Minute
Feb 06, 2013

Even at 50 cents an audio minute, if you get a 10-minute report that would equate to $5.00. Usually it takes 30 minutes to do a 10-minute report so that would mean one would receive $10.00 an hour. If only getting 40 cents, that's $8.00 an hour. PFFT! I don't see how this is any improvement over our standard slave wages, yet their ad sounds like they invented the wheel or sliced bread. With a name like "Fox," it's got to be bad. (Apologies to Smucker's.) ...

Job Pays 30 Cents Per Audio Minute, Geez
Jan 18, 2013

So there is job posted that pays 30 cents an audio minute.  How generous!  You figure depending on the dictator and difficulty of transcript 60 minutes of audio is equal to 3 hours of transcribing.  Granted, most of the time it does not take that long, but just in case for good measure we'll say 3 hours for 60 audio minutes.  Do the math!  30 cents a minute x 60 (1 hr)= 1800.  So another words, if you divide 1800 by 3 you get your hourly rate = 6 buck ...
