I was looking at job ads on a website called findtranscriptionwork.com. I found it on a search engine, have never seen this site before. I found a job listing for an India-based company looking for a business transcriptionist preferably located in India, and they are paying $20 an hour to start.

this, I wouldn't hesitate. I can't. So, what are we supposed to do. We already know our employers know they have a Cadillac for the price of a bicycle. It disgusts me. If there was just one person in management employed at imedx, someone who could make a difference that affects thousands of MTs in a positive way, I ask you/beg you, grow a conscience and help us...or, do it because you want to do the right thing. I could tell you stories that would make you cry. I won't. Just know that I am looking for a way to help all who come under the MT umbrella, a lot of people, not just me. If you can, you have no idea of how many folks would consider that a miracle.

When I did an hour of audio for a general transcription company I oftentimes got close to 40 dollars, so 20 dollars for an hour of audio isn't that much.

Some woman used to send me e-mails with snippets of job ads she had gleaned all over the states. To get to the contact info you had to subscribe to her service. I never did. I can't remember her name.

fee or lease I have not seen any so far. The MT jobs are a lot of the ones posted here and on the other site. There are auction jobs and the bulk of those go through elance which has a premium service you pay for, but you don't have to unless you want more options, then some of the jobs are on craiglist

Wondering how other TT transcribers feel about the past few months audits. They say one thing one month, and the next months audit you do it the way I corrected it and then it comes back corrected again...confusing...I feel the audits are very subjective...they can find errors if they want to...seem to do it on mine,,,I got major errors for lack of a comma....a period...and a patient care error because I did not hyphenate between a two word titled syndrome.....when asked how that cha ...

Everytime I do this doctor's transcription (ironically he is a pulmonologist) he snorts phlegm in the back of his nose right into the microphone and will even cough from it sometimes because he does it so hard. Tonight during an 11 min. dictation by him, halfway through I had to get up and run to the bathroom because I was gagging. He did it 5 times in the first 5 min. of the job.
