I emailed MT questions about it, because my supervisor is on vacation. I was told the value of the prize was added to your gross amount, taxed, adn then took it out of your net, so that you are receiving the net amount in pay but you received it in prizes. No idea what they mean and they said to contact 1-800-dictate. I already left a messsage with the payroll person who hopefully will call me back tomorrow. I believe that when they added the value of the prize to the gross amount, they were only to deduct the tax for the prize, not the whole dang prize amount. The way did it was having us pay for our own prize. Husband said we'd sue if they don't change the amount that I'm short on the pay. We'll see how they answer our questions. |
