I have 4 computers in my office, 3 are Dells and work fantastic, one is a backup HP I got for $125 because I wanted a backup computer that had HP. I've had great luck with my Dell computers personally. Just realize that if you buy a new one, you're stuck with Vista unless you pay a nice chunk for a business computer from them. Also when you get rid of your old computer, take out the hard drive and use it as a backup storage drive. You can buy a little box to hold it with the cables from tiger direct or newegg. Beats smashing it to pieces to prevent someone from grabbing your info.
