In Reply to: What's the first step for disputing a Qasar - correction done by QA? Thanks. nm

Here are a few good posts from below you might want to read:

I posted it about MTs not seeing notes to the client left by QA.

This does NOT include incorrect words. I SAID if there is a discrepancy in the dictation or something that does not make sense, whether or not the MT has left a QA note or not, sometimes QA will send a note to the client to alert them to look into it, i.e., right versus left, etc., that you do not see!

However, THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE incorrect terminology. If you leave a QA marker for a word or phrase that you do not know, QA will fill that in (hopefully) and you should be able to go back and see it in your reports-AND LEARN FROM IT. That is the end of your responsibility.

I think you all need to relax and just concentrate on doing your best to complete the most accurate document possible that you can. Let the people at the other levels take care of it from there.

You do not know all the levels of QA and what we can do and can't do, so concentrate on being an MT and let the rest do their job. After all, once it leaves you and is sent to QA, you are not responsible for incorrect corrections, things not making sense, how the document looks (wrong spacing), etc.

Just do your job and let us do ours (QA).

Please don't bother to answer this post with derogatory remarks about how incompetent QA is, we have supervisors too!

Interesting to me on reading here today how the focus of the board has overnight gone from the real issues, like CBay and all of our futures, to QA bashing again. I was pondering this, and realized its because of QASAR being dumped on us overnight, and thinking, what bad timing on MQ's part. But then I realized, actually, what great timing on MQ's part. They never do anything by accident, even the stuff that seems like a train wreck.  So, how clever they were to drop the CBay bomb, and then when we were all getting together and making progress on some plans, they dropped the QASAR bomb to distract everyone, along with the screwed up DQS upgrade out of nowhere at the same time.  I now see it as another clever management move, and I also personally believe they are the ones who start the inflammatory threads that get us fighting with each other, MT versus QA. Quickest way to distract us is to get us fighting. It works every time, and still is. Let's not fall for it.
