i just thought that this paragraph needed to be said again!!
I think you all need to relax and just concentrate on doing your best to complete the most accurate document possible that you can. Let the people at the other levels take care of it from there.
this is the wisest thing i've seen here on this board. thank you!
we are all so quick to jump all over others. i think if we just kind of mind our own business and do our jobs, and not sweat the small stuff, we'd all live longer and do our jobs better.
QA can be both our best and worst friend. i know when i first started working here, before QASAR existed, i would get e-mail after e-mail with my mistakes, and it made me crazy, because i was being corrected on things that i've been told were correct for YEARS AND YEARS!! and now, here i am at MedQuist, having to relearn everything all over again, because Medquist does things differently than the hospital and doctors offices i had worked at for over 20 years.
just take disk vs disc for instance. i was ALWAYS told it is ALWAYS disc, whether eye or spine. now, i have to put disk. and that just seems wrong. in fact, as i'm typing this, i'm looking at my phone book at the neck and back center, where they discuss herniated and degenerative DISCS...not DISKS!
but whatever, i do it the medquist way now.
what i really wanted to say though, is that there were a few in QA who were HUGELY encouraging, they could tell i was struggling, and they would send me e-mails of encouragement, letting me know i was improving and making few mistakes, and i just want to thank them for that. i might have quit in the first couple of months without those e-mails. (though of course now i'm thinking i should have, haha).
