QA blanks

I can relate. I sent 2 yesterday. One was the name of a nursing facility that I could not locate (sounded something like Technimed). The dictator used it 3 times in the same report so I put 3 QA markers. It came back with 1 of the blanks filled in with *auspices* (??) but the other 2 were left blank. Give me a break. Even though it was an ESL, it sounded nothing like that and auspices did not even remotely make sense in the sentence.

The second one was *with removal of the _______ acetabuli.* I left out *acetabuli* since even though I vaguely heard it, I wasn't sure if once the word before it could be heard that it would be correct. Sure enough I got it back with just acetabuli put in. The other word was completely deleted and was a necessary anatomical word to distinguish which acetabuli.

I can understand sound-alike words being inserted incorrectly since QA has a quota and I'm sure are only listening to words sometimes and not context, but come on, one didn't even sound close and one was completely left out. Makes no sense to me.
