You are correct about VR advancement, & really, technology advancement. One of the big teaching hospitals, primary acct, first went to VR and then started having the clinic docs fill in a template (I don't know how they are doing op reports)....Docs were not happy, but they adjusted last I heard. I do belive court reporters are in the same type of situation, not outsourcing, but there is some talk about court reporters not owning their own stuff & it sounds like VR is in the picture.....now that would be something. The hospital primary acct that went to templates was only concerned about cost they were paying MQ.......I'm in my mid60s & have gone from manual typewriter to computers.....who would have thought? Everybody......just get/keep/maintain marketable skills. |
