Maybe for a thunderstorm or no internet or something. But I usually work even if my kids are sick or I'm sick. I did have to miss a few hours in April when I had the flu and couldn't even sit at the computer. I'd get up and TRY, but would always end up puking my guts up. Made up most of the time but took a few hours of PTO. Anyway....I can't even believe so many DON'T work their schedules. I miss being statutory too -- but I have a teenager and 2 SMALL children and can manage.
