Years ago I had several accounts on my own that I acquired simply by cold calling.  I agree with you... an MT will make more money working independently.  My situation changed, divorce, need for benefits, etc, so switched to a national.  Have seen my salary decrease yearly since.  I am just hesitant to go back to the pick/up delivery, printing reports, etc.  Perhaps I will check out the local hospitals tho...
