Your communication companies offshore contracts and customer service departments which has all of your information included.
Even our Secret Service, FBI and CIA are offshoring intelligence tasks and responsibilities to save a buck. NO KIDDING -- it was on National Public Radio about 2 weeks ago.
As far as what hospitals will do ... nothing. Know why? Because of YOU. When you are the patient, you want healthcare costs to be as low as possible. Insurance companies want the same thing. The only way hospitals can do that is to have lower costs to everything they do. Outsourcing is one way to get this done. MTSOs who offshore their work can offer more discounts on it...keeping the competition at bay...and giving the hospitals the financial break they are looking for.
Doctors can get upset but they don't control hospitals. You can get upset but you'll feel differently when you get that $5,000 hospital bill for an outpatient procedure. Your insurance company can get upset and tell hospitals and doctors they aren't providing coverage or allowing them to participate in their plans if they don't reduce costs. Then it comes back around to finding low-cost services again. The MTSOs with the best pricing win again.
But if you're worried or trying to panic the public about their information being out there -- it's too late. It's already out there. Can't turn that one back no matter how you try.
