These websites apparently have been contacting MTs who visit them, and have been requesting sample reports from jobs done on the MQ platform, which is causing MQ to worry about a HIPAA violation. The email says copying any files and sending them to these sites is possibly grounds for termination.
My impression is that they want to play it safe and avert any issues by asking us to avoid those specific sites, but I do not feel they are watching us constantly to see if we go to them.
You are not wrong to go to different sites to find your information. The problem comes in if those sites are gathering information from you or soliciting you.
So, if you can find what you need at MQ approved sites, you are covered and will have no problem. Otherwise, you are kind of on your own if there is an issue. |
