When my kids were in school, the teachers would send notes home with misspellings. I would circle these in red and send them back. My kids were really embarrassed that I corrected their teachers but tough. I told all my kids teachers, I don't care about all this new PE equipment you have, I just want my kids to learn to read, write and do math. Neither of them can spell worth squat!!! But, at least they have heard of refrain and they are only 22 and 26 -of course, their parents are getting ready to retire now!!! They both say they are glad they have older parents than their friends because we taught them a lot of stuff their friends don't even know!!! Nice to hear that from my kids. |
