I happen to know that the account they speak of has been majorly ASR for some time and is VERY cost-conscious. The 'quality reports' dictators receive about their dictation is definitely not for our benefit.
Having said that, I do believe that there will always be a role for editors, but never will match salaries we made in the past. I can't even say 'or what we're worth,' because if the account is this bent on switching to ASR for cost-saving purposes, they will be sure their dictators MAKE it work to perfection, which is what they are doing. The Editor will just give it a last look...
