It's true because it makes sense. The monthly bonus was out of a pot of a set amount of money. Anybody who makes it in that pot will get a certain percentage of the pot based on how many lines over they type. There is no set monetary value on what you get, it is a percentage. That said, if more people qualified, more people get money out of the pot, and lower the amount you get. To put it very simply:
$100 pot divided by 10 people equals $10 each.
$100 pot divided by 50 people equals $2 each.
Therefore, if many people got pretty close to what they usually earn for a monthly bonus, it is because their madness incentive is tacked on. |
