While I was listening to the radio today, I heard an interesting commercial advertising a free seminar in a local town regarding working at home doing medical transcription. It went on to say how there is a shortage of medical transcriptionists. They stated that good candidates would be if you know how to type or want to learn how to type and have the luxury of working from your home and making more $ than in an office. They did not say if they were a MT company or an MT school, but they sounded very excited about it. They must not be transcriptionists! If I had the time, I would go. When they were spewing out all of the lovely adjuectives about being a medical transcriptionist, I wanted to puke.
I have not worked for a month now and do not miss it a bit. It would be very hard to come back after my FMLA is over and deal with the emotional stress this job gives me on a daily basis. I would rather be at Walmart greeting customers!
