No one purposely fills in the ADT with incorrect information.  We do our best with the information provided.  Sometimes we make mistakes.  We are human.  The point is that most of us do it correctly most of the time; therefore, we shouldn't be digned for the occasional error that we, as humans, inadvertently make.

BTW, we were paid for ADTs at one time.  When we worked on Word documents and I think even the MTShell.  That's what I signed on for.  I did not sign on for DQS to take that away.  MQ just slid that one in on us.  Does anyone ever remember being told that with DQS we would not be paid for headers.  I don't think so.  I think they only addressed that info on a need-to-know-basis once MTs began to question why they weren't making their line counts.

And to address your point about other companies, many other companies do pay for the ADT info.  I happen to work for one.  They pay for it because they want to ensure that the MT takes the time to fill it in correctly without having to worry about making up that time lost.  So get off your high horse - not everyone likes to work for free.

The point is, if they can just stop paying us for ADT info, what's next - spaces, headers, punctuation?
