When I get an ASR job and I see that there is a lot of numbering with those # symbols, for example:
#. Atenolol
#. Lipitor
#.
I use Ctrl + shift + F and put in # replace with @@ (stop codes) so I can just jump to the numbers and fill them in as I go.
I also got some good expansion ideas from a post from Dazey from a few days ago...adding an x to the end of words that have to be corrected a lot. I have used this a lot with dates and months and numbers...example:
ASR types 01/12/2008
My primary wants 01/12/08
format
I made the expansion /2008x
so I just add the x and it changes to /08.
I also get cancer staging a lot on my primary, and ASR just does not recognize it (and yes, I have e-mailed them about this but no change). This was driving me nuts because it was in almost every job I get. Example:
Dictated: T1 N0 M0
ASR always types: T1 and zero and zero
So made two expansions:
and zeron = N0
and zerom = M0
