Ya know, this is the sort of thing that makes me nuts.... someone posts some vague, but clearly knowledgeable stream that sends people into the panic stage. How fair do you think that was, especially since you have no intention of elaborating on why we should get OUT NOW, etc.
the last rumor I heard about MQ, from ex-staffers, was that the MTs were starting to be paid at 25% less or so, because MQ will stop counting spaces in the 65 character line count. I can't fathom how they could do this, 65 characters including spaces is the industry standard. BUT, even if they did make this sort of change, they have to inform the staff at least 30 days in advance of the change.
I know from experience, with MQ and another MT company, that there is a shortage of 30,000 or so qualified MTs in this country... that is comforting.
If you want to elaborate on WHY we should not panic, but look for other jobs NOW, great... if not, its really not appropriate to start a panic with no backup info.... |
