It cannot be blamed on the last year. How many used to post here regularly about what a joke MQ was with the clients and quality. This is the response that had to happen to get MTs to shape up. For the pros, everything will be fine. For the chaff, they will blow away. One thing interesting as a QA person, since this new system, gone are the jobs where I would get 70 to 80 blanks. Amazing what a bit of fear will do to improve MT hearing. And, as you may retort, they are just guessing, well, they will be caught on the audits very quickly. I don't think I've had a job with more than 4 QA markers since this hit on October 1. Prior to that, I regularly had jobs that were more than 2/3 blanks and the other third garbage. Or, is it that no more pay for blanks? Whatever, the results are already showing and I'm enjoying QAing again, focusing on helping the MTs by finding that obscure term, or town, or doctor, and not transcribing the flippin' report for the lazy MTs, and yes, they were legion. Hopefully MQ will come to be known for quality. Its possible. |
