They demand it of themselves, and most are pretty darn good at providing it.
If there have been quality issues over the last year, IMHO it has less to do with the quality of transcriptionists, and way more to do with the frightening and chaotic work flow. I mean, MTs are used to having their work reviewed and corrected where necessary. I don't think anyone would argue with the need for QA.
But, this knee-jerk reaction to the problems that the Q itself created, is not going to solve much! How many times have we said it? Give us stable primaries and predictable work flow, and client satisfaction will improve tremendously. Simple! That is the solution that will make everybody happy. Well, that and actually investing a little effort in improving audio quality, but one thing at a time! |
