Every company needs to demand quality of their workers.
QA is doing exactly what it is supposed to do...assure the quality of the reports coming through from MTs, before going to the client.
While you might not care for the terminology used, there is nothing wrong with the company utilizing its work roles for what they are designed to do. Furthermore, I do not see anything wrong with the company looking at my work to see if I am actually doing the quality job I am supposed to be doing.
I think extreme opinions like yours are the problem. I think you find it personally offensive that someone just doesn't take your word for it that you know what you're doing and your report should just go right to the client.
Everyone is going to have to make a change in how they think in order to stay in this business. The dig your heels in the dirt and refuse to grow with the company attitude will hurt you far more than it will hurt the company.
MQ IS successful. It is still the world's largest company. It still pays better than any other company out there, has more benefits for MTs, offers more options and opportunities than any other employer.
What it should do, in my opinion, is get rid of all of the bitter angry MTs who have no intention of working WITH the company. It would be a relief for the rest of us who are doing fine.
