this is the way the corporate world seems to work now. We, the experienced MTs, believe they are taking a loss if we leave. Unfortunately, companies see it as more $$ if they can pay a newbie much less. They figure they still have enough QA in place to cover the inadequacies, and whatever MT shortage remains after the good MTs leave, will simply be compensated for by the offshore MTs, who will work for even less than a new US MT. It's all about the almighty dollar. So, if anyone who has invested many years with a company believes they or their work will be missed, I beg to differ here..I believe we are all just a number.
