I know it's happening.  I'm a computer tech with 5 years tech support experience and I was laid off in '04.  Subsequent efforts to get work were met with, You're overqualified, or all the tech jobs have been outsourced.  I'm now driving a truck since I can't get work in the computer field.  I've already lost a home and car to these people.  Yes, I know what you're going thru.  Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
