What I said above is that this board is not sanctioned by MQ, not appreciated by MQ, and MQ certainly doesn't like that this board even exists. They would much rather prefer that the ONLY information their MTs receive is from MQ and not a public board that they can control... period, end of story.

I'm no longer an MQ employee as I finally found a better place for me last month, but I was with MQ for over 13 years, through good times and bad, and in several different capacities through those years, MT, QA, mentor/trainer, work flow coordinator, client relations, etc., and I do know that the management read these boards....not that it matters much in any of their decisions, but they do read the boards.

This was a great board during those times so we MQ MTs could get information we couldn't get otherwise, but what I'm concerned about now is the new MQ MTs who are coming into the company who don't know that this is not an MQ sanctioned board and are coming here for advice on anything from company police to how to do what in DocQscribe.

I'm sorry newbies to MQ, but this is not the place for some information you are looking for! Sure, we can give you some helpful production hints in DQS, etc., but do not listen to everything you hear here as rules or regulations regarding MQ... That has to come through your PS or Qnet or whatever other source MQ has come up with.

A lot of what is posted here is personal opinion and not MQ policy or procedure, so please check with your supervisors on everything.

Like I said, I worked here for over 13 years and most of it was wonderful, but I tend to agree with the majority of the posters here that things at MQ have gone downhill and continue to do so. I once made over 400 lph, easily $40,000/year part-time and didn't break a sweat...yes, even when MQ was signing my checks! But the last few years with the cesspool and ASR that hasn't been the case. I lost my primary and it's gone downhill since then. If I had stayed with MQ the rest of this year, based on what I've made so far this year, I would be lucky to gross $25,000. Same company, same 65-character line count, etc., it just isn't possible with doing hundreds of accounts with 95% ELS and 98% poor sound quality.

I am serious folks. I was doing quite well with MQ until the last two years because I had one steady account and one backup basically. Once the cesspool came into play, it was over. Don't even have to factor in ASR as I only did that for the first three months (or whatever it was they gave you to decide if you like it) to tell that wasn't going to cut it and asked to be taken off. On my primary that I was making 400 lph, when it went to ASR, I was lucky to make 200 lph! It was 100% ESL and I had done them for years and knew them like the back of my hand and could transcribe them in my sleep..... ASR butchered their reports and it took me so long to fix them that I could only do half as many lines... and they wanted to cut my pay per line by 30% more??.... That's why I quit. I wasn't going to take that big of a pay cut. I couldn't just F11 and transcibe it because it was EVERY single dictator and ASR doesn't learn if you don't use the skip markers, etc.... so even then, I'd have been totally transcribing them for 30% less!

Sorry to get off the track there... bottom line for the new MTs at MQ is that you can't use this board as any sort of ''authority'' of what you should or should not do with your work at MQ. Posts here are OPININON ONLY and not direct MQ policy. If you see or hear something here, please verify it with your PS or QKL before taking it as MQ policy or rules.

As I said before, I thank MTStars for providing us this forum to post our gripes, our feelings, and our helpful advice to new MQ MTs.
