gonna be nice and say not very intelligent as they haven't seemed to take heed of what happened when other professions got outsourced (CSR type of positions with banks, etc. and IT personnel) solely because it was cheaper -- it ended up costing the companies more when they realized that it wasn't such a good idea, that is the quality wasn't there and people complained about not being able to understand the foreign personnel -- I talked to a local cardiologist who I asked how his transcription was done and he said that a local agency was doing it in another town where they have an office as well and he said that they once had some foreign MTs on the account and they were having such a problem with them not being able to recognize when a mistake was made with the terminology that they have specifically requested of that agency to have only American MTs and I told him good for you. |
