i was given a verbal and a written warning when i had maybe a month's worth of averaging about 147 lines per hour, when i was learning ASR and my line count was going down down down because of all of that. but even still, i could give a rat's you know what. seriously don't worry about. it happened to me again a couple of pay periods ago where i think i averaged 148 per hour and nothing was said. in general, i make my line count, but its a struggle, but i think they just warn you to 1) cover their butts, and 2) to motivate you. its their way of getting the whip out. i was fine with it. i knew i was low and it bothered me and i was trying and it was going up anyway when they notified me. i think it must take a lot more than a slightly less than they want line count to get fired. i do a good job and i'm just so completely over worrying about Medquist and their rules and regs. i follow the rules as best i can, and i try not to sweat the rest. i spent a year with anxiety and stress beyond belief worrying about this crap, and i'm done. just apply yourself, do the best you can, and don't put a lot of energy into worrying about the e-mails and things you hear from or about MQ. you'll sleep better. : )
