I bet it was a relief not to go back.  I have just 4 hours left with MQ and then I'm out of there.  I have to make from 2a to 6a one more time.  It has been hard not to just give, but decided to be professional about it and give them their full 2 weeks notice.  Well, 13 anyway.  Husband said that I wasn't going to give them the 4th of July and I agreed.  Dated the resignation in such a way that Thursday morning is my last morning.  Yeah.  Found a job that works and better pay too.  Can't to give it my full attention starting Sunday.   Good Luck to all in finding a new job or sticking it out where you are!!
