I think it is one of the main reasons our line counts are going down, at least for those of us who do ASR and transcription. I've noticed the exact same things you mention in my reports - whole sentences and portions of sentences missing, multiple words in a sentences missubg, frequently every other word, and now numbers are turning up missing, as well, in the PE and lab sections in particular (I am seeing only the last number in BPs and labs are starting to become outrageous again). Words are misspelled (oftentimes simple words, too) that the machine was trained on long, long ago. ASR never used to be this difficult! Either something is seriously up, or someone is messing around with this, but I can't figure out how they could change what the machine was already taught. I know I can't fix it.  I hope others chime in on this topic. Thanks for posting it. We have to do something, as we'll get nowhere individually. |
