Does anybody out there work for Alpha Transcription right now?

A search shows them to be affiliated with Nuance. NM - NYMT

They were a good company to work for but have now been bought out and now getting ripped off with line counts. Was trying to find people who also work for them to see if the same thing is happening to them. Are there any decent companies left out there to transcribe for?

I work for them and have checked reports against MSword and they coincide, although I checked the Q's lines against MSword and they checked but I still feel the Q rips people off.

I have other issues with ImedX but line count is not one of them at least not for now.

I was working there and inquired about my pay--got an e-mail from HR that same day that they didn't have any work for me right now!! Tried to sign on to Falcon and my passwords didn't work--couldn't even get my line count. They are owned by IMedX which is a company in India. Check out their address on google earth, 1405 County Road 1, South Point, Ohio 45680. If you are working on a VA account you should be an employee with prevailing wage.

iMedx is not in India. Corporate office is in Shelton, CT. The president or CEO is Indian. However, he does not hide the fact that he wants to bring jobs to India. When I left iMedx last month there was still plenty of work. Also a lot of clients stipulate in their contract with iMedx that NO work is to go offshore.

Not sure what facts are wrong! If you go to their website http://www.imedx.com/contact and click on the Contact tab, their Corporate HQ office is in Ohio (but if you google earth that address it is a garage)and just below the Ohio address on their site is their India HQ. Alpha/IMedX still has to pay prevailing wage for VA contracts.
