I thought MT Stars had some kind of requirement for advertisers on what they can post. I think 2.5 cpl is an all-time low. Someone is making a profilt and it is not the people doing the work. If you did 2000 lines in a day, you'd only be making $50. Your better off working at Burger King.

and tell them that's too low and we simply will not work for $50.00 a day (or $250.00 a week, or $13,000 a year) for doing 2000 lines a day and furthermore, not be ashamed to sign our real name! We have to take a stand. Depending on what I see here, I will do it. Tell me how you feel! I don't think I'd be jeopardizing myself out of a future job because there is no way I would work for that. Unless, of course, we go into a depression, but if we do, you would think that prces would come down to match that unthinkable rate. Now that I know what their true colors are, however, I STILL would not work for those people. They can do a physical impossibility to themselves!

And by the way, I don't think they can even advertise here for less than 3 cents a line for VR. If they did, hopefully the moderator saw it and deleted it!

they posted on another site where it is allowed to post such low rates. The rate for regular transcription was 8 cpl, thought, so I guess that makes it okay, I suppose...only thing is, they probably don't have anything but VR to offer. I wouldn't do VR for 4 cpl, much less 2.5. Disgusting. I think the world has flipped over and we are now a "third world country."

Moderator must have removed it. It was then posted at the "higher" 3 cpl rate. Pathetic at 2.5, 3 or even 4. Really sickening.

to your post. My anger is directed toward the low cpl being offered lately, not my fellow MTs. Hope we all get better line rates when management at these companies wise up and start realizing if they want MTs who know what they are doing they are going to have to compensate us accordingly ;)

I wrote them when I quit them on how ridiculous and absurd they are. They are looking out for themselves and that's it. I cannot STAND these people in these higher-up positions. I would get rude QA feedback that I'm going too fast because my quality was low, so I would really take my time, basically making $2.00 an hour combing every report then I get emails that TAT is bad. You could never win! I would dread working everyday until I would cry. This company is not worth it, PLEASE look elsewhere!

I don't know what the going rate is in India, but this seems so low that I wonder if they made a mistake and intended to offer it to India?

Maybe they went in and edited their ad because I am seeing that they are offering 3 cpl on their latest ad.

But, it doesn't really matter, 2.5 vs 3. I would never even consider doing MT for pay as low as that.

At 2.5 cpl, the min edit rate of 225 LPH is only $5.62 an hour. - Even min wage is more than that. sm

I don't see other bigger companies doing that yet but if they see TTD has success with it, they are sure to follow.

Sad. As long as people take it, it will keep going lower.

Short of typing your fingers to the bone all day, there is NO way anyone could live on that. So, I guess it's time we see it for what it is....a hobby, something to do for fun, but NOT a career to take serious.

To the poster who posted below looking for information on TTD. They don't have their own accounts. They work for Superior Global and maybe others. Superior pays them to find ICs. They probably pay them 4 cpl and then TTD pays you a cruddy 3 cpl to edit VR reports. They don't offer direct deposit because Superior is paying them and then they pay you, which is why you have to wait a month for your check. I started working for them over 6 weeks ago and have NOT gotten paid YET. I know there has been discussion that that happens but we're going on almost 2 months now and nothing. They have an ad on this site hiring at 8 cents and 3 cents for straight typing and editing. But, on another site, they have an ad for the same exact thing but the pay is 7 cents for straight typing and 2.5 cents for editing! Are you kidding?!?!?!?!
