ROI test - VeteranMT

Posted: May 14, 2011

Has anyone here passed the ROI online test?

I took it but didn't pass.  The "failure" message suggested a specific training program....

There was an entire thread about this a few months ago.  Numerous MTs, some with 20 and 30 years of experience, said they didn't pass it.  (I have over two decades w/ extensive rad and have always had superb QAs.)  Someone suggested that it may be a scam....

I carefully reviewed each question and answer before submitting.  There were only 2 that I wasn't 100% certain about, only because I don't have a 3rd Edition BOS.  (but have the 2nd and referred to it)

This really makes me wonder...

I passed. - Shirl

But I didn't take the job because I don't have the $200-$300 to buy the account specific foot pedal as well as the BOS 3.

buy the account? - oh man

I'm glad I failed a few months ago. I love radiology but had the BOS 2. I read a lot of people failed also. $200-$300 to buy account? Oh no. No no. Heck no!

Was I too vague about that? Sorry. I mean, almost each account needed - Shirl

a different foot pedal. Some USB, some DVI, et cetera, but that's clearly posted in their announcements. I was just too strapped for cash to make the investment I thought I needed to make.

I just mosied on over to the classifieds section and saw a lot of food pedals for sale at reasonable prices. Wish I'd done that at the time. I don't know why I overlooked that. Oh well.

Anyway, even though my current company has some if/then policies that cause me some (major) anxiety, In the near-11 years I've been with them, I've only had problems with NJA between August and October 2010, because we lost a huge account.

I seem to be doing OK with VR so far, so I'm going to stick with the devil I know versus the devil I don't. I've had some pretty low production days over the years, but that's due to my own failure to produce, not the lack of jobs. Plus I don't have to work a set schedule and be SOL on income that day if after 8 hours I haven't hit my goal. One of the benefits of being an IC.
sorry...had to re-read your comment - long day...wink wink

I passed too - ROIMT

I passed the test and have been working for ROI for a few months now and love it.

They are very strict with quality because the account requires it.

The account I work on always has work and sometimes more than I can handle. They also pay a gross line, which I have never seen before. It really makes a big difference in the line count in my favor.

They leave me alone but are available when I have questions.

I had to buy a foot pedal too because I did not have the one the software required but as an IC that is usually a requirement and mine only cost $75.

I just e-mailed asking - Shirl

if her offer still stood. I was accepted five months ago and didn't take it due to the expense, plus I didn't know if I'd be moving or not. I didn't want to let the team down by having to be gone too much, too soon to pack and move.

My current position has now gotten to the point that I'll try my hardest to get the required tools to make the switch. I asked her about the learning curve for BOS 3 and unfamiliar radiology terminology, and would they give up on me after a couple of weeks. She said no, as long as I'm showing improvement based on my QA feedback.

ROI TEST - I didn't pass either - RADMT

I was about to create a thread asking the same question - if anyone had passed their online test. I took their test a couple of days ago, and they claim I failed. I have 7 years of Radiology transcription experience and over 15 years worth of transcription total. Now, I may not have scored 100%, but I know I did well on that test! Maybe they set the bar so high so they won't have to hire seasoned MTs. :/

I didn't pass - HappY

Happy to know that I'm not the only one who didn't pass. 19 years of radiology and they passed me up? Their loss, for sure.
