So rumor has it that an original KS employee has decided to leave the nest and venture out with another company. WOW...I thought she was a fixture there. I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks, huh. Wonder if it was her idea, or theirs (which is more likely the reason). Oh well, let's see who's next???? Perhaps that wonderful Coordinator that everyone loves and fears...you know, the frustrated teacher wannabe!!!!

I've been there slightly longer than she has. She started as the receptionist and somehow ended up down the road as a coordinator. I asked to moved off one of her accounts because of the insane amount of emails she sent for no reason. I would rather be left alone to work, which I have with CS. I heard she is going to be leaving transcription to work for a retail company but is leaving on good terms. I think it was her idea, but I don't know how KS kept her in that position for as long as they did. She drove me crazy. Micromanagement was an understatement. I wouldn't want to be a coordinator; I am happy being an MT.

Well actually, she's been there much longer than 10 years. She was with them in Bolingbrook and that was way more than 10 years ago. The problem here is that she was never an MT. She was definitely a micromanager, they used to joke that she was writing a novel in her office and they wanted to be one of the first to buy a copy ....anyway...she was making far too much $$ with them to want to work in retail, but I'm sure if she left on good terms, it's because her husband and the owner's husband are childhood friends. Can't burn those bridges. They probably made her an offer she couldn't refuse. She was afraid of her own shadow and used to shake in her boots when the owner would show up. Real "child-like". But the other one, "CS" the "Christian"...she's another force to recon with. She's evil to the bone. Glad that she leaves you alone, but someone else is suffering in your place.

I remember because it was the best thing I did because I met my current husband, a wonderful man, a month after my divorce was final. So, you're right, she's been there probably 12 years; I started 14 years ago. I stand corrected on the retail company. I just talked to another KS MT whose been there almost as long as I have and she said that she thinks she went to work for her husband but only part time because of their baby. She's nice, just not a good manager. I'm OK with CS, but probably because I've been there longer than her and don't have much contact. I've heard horror stories but she is very nice to me. I hate to think that she is not to others. Why do some people get a power trip?

If it was KS's idea and not hers, it was certainly financial. They're hemorrhaging money and have been for some time. Over the past few years how many rounds of staff reduction have they gone through? I can't imagine the atmosphere there is improving, so either way she's better off.

I think all companies, especially healthcare, have to make cuts and changes with the economy. I used to work for KS before I got an in-house job and went back when my hospital job was taken up by MM.

I think they had too many managers for a long time, and probably needed to eliminate some, but hemorrhaging money? That's a little drastic, don't you think? I think that change is the new normal in healthcare. Look at what's happening everywhere with the lay-offs, the latest at Columbus Regional Hospital. Even their CEO was let go from one of the hospitals. It's called survival.

Didn't MM just declare bankruptcy? Wasn't there rumor that Nuance was selling? I'm just glad that KS has not sold out.

I would suggest they call MH back again for the umpteenth time...she's always willing to return again and again. If not, maybe her daughter. That's their answer to any problem in the past. Even if they can't stand her or her daughter... they usually resort to them in a pinch. Oh, but don't call her a coordinator, no, she's an account facilitator. They have more made-up titles for people. What a joke!!!!

I worked with JV for another MTSO and found him to be fair and nice. He is the current president of AHDI.

STB has been with KS awhile, not replacing BB.

As in the case of Cruise vs Holmes, or any other Hollywood star who has their reputation to uphold. Kind of like Liberace who denied, denied, denied and even won in court! There is so much unethical laboring that goes on here with horrible personalities and injustices that one has to wonder what has happened to all that have been let go and have to sleep at night. "Disney's Annette" I am sure had a story to tell...wink/wink

STB is a decent person. If she comes across as rude, it's likely because she's stressed by the situation she's in.

If you don't cause her any trouble, she'll be fair to you.

and QA dings me for one. Unbelievable. That's what it averages for 1400 lines a day full-time. Even with 3 cups of coffee and an office chair seat belt, it's no easy feat. Ninety-thousand keystrokes PER DAY. That's not including the ADT, the Internet look-ups, etc. Throw me a bone here, QA. How many keystrokes to you do, PERFECTLY?? ...

How is it? The trainer says it is one of the easiest platforms to learn on if you've never done it. Said the threshold is set high at like 85% (not sure what that means) and it proves to be very lucrative for some. Anyone have any experience with it they could share? I'm a bit confused with Keystrokes. The ad they have placed here indicates wanting 40 people for new accounts, etc. However, I just received an email about job openings for only 2 very heavy ESL 1-9 shifts. I don't understand why they would have this ad and yet only be sending info about only the 2 jobs. I'm in their DATABASE and am sent these emails according to what opens up.
