Everything that's been posted on here about the Softscript recruiter is absolutely true. I accepted a job with them, then thought it over because of the lack of PTO, and wrote in to tell the person handling my paperwork that I had reconsidered due to the lack of PTO. My email was forwarded back to the recruiter and she sent me a snarky email that said basically, you get 3.5 days the first year and 5 the second, and said, "please explain." I told her that I had reconsidered, and she wrote back to tell me my employment was terminated. I'm not even employed by them yet! I wasn't starting until next week! So I quit before I started, and she wrote to tell me I was fired before I had started. Wow, am I glad I changed my mind!

[ In Reply To ..]I worked for them and in my probation period I had FIVE different accounts, due to work continuously running out on accounts, which in my opinion is poor management anyway. But, with five accounts there were five different VERY DETAILED account specifics and I got fired for not being able to follow the account specifics exactly. I only made a couple of slip ups, and I absolutely understand that you must follow account specifics, but not one single mistake that I made would have affected patient care in any way whatsoever.
Anyway, some guy that I have never even heard of, never heard his name or anything called me and told me that the "management" had made the decision to let me go, because of my numerous errors with account specifics and I was informed when I began working for them that these must be followed. I was like WOW!
My biggest complaint with them is all the accounts you're - expected to do daily, sm

I am going to email you and tell you, you can work overtime because we have 100 jobs (I'm sure most people do 30+ jobs a day when there is work to make their minimum) and I don't care about you when we have nothing for you to type. Yeah, this job doesn't seem to be what I thought it would be. There really isn't any consistency on the accounts that I do have. I run out of work on a regular basis. That's the only consistency I have seen.

[ In Reply To ..]After the 90 day probation, you begin earning 1.67 hours per pay period which works out to 40 hours (1 week) for the first year. This is in the employee manual. The recruiter was incorrect about the time he/she gave you.

that MQ sent out that stupid letter stating not to worry, we will still need MTs, and that off-shoring will remain one of many solutions (including VR). TWO job offers today. One is for my old hospital. I never thought it would happen again. I tried for 3 years to get my old hospital job back but never heard a peep. I have never used AutoCorrect and do not know how to access it nor do I know what the keyboard shortcut keys to use. I am looking for a true IC position where I can work when I am available due to being handicapped. I sometimes have some very bad days and can't get out of bed as a result of it and I keep losing jobs. I am also wondering if there are any companies that pay MTs what they're worth on VR. I feel like we do twice the work for less pay. It's a lot harder if you ask me, especially if you have an account full of doc's who suck at dictation and sound more like auctioneers than a do ...

Out of curiosity I went to the Merrill Lynch site. I was looking around on my personal page; I had NO idea how much I had in there, and it showed me (I was surprised as I thought it was much less) But what do I know about it...never really kept up on it.....
