Cardiology Accounts - Blitz

Posted: Mar 17, 2010

I know of two companies that do only cardiology transcription:

www.cardioscribes.com

www.cardiologyts.com

If someone knows of other such companies or those with lots and lots of cardiology accounts, please share.  I love doing this specialty.

None so far.

Cardioscribes is in India so you're basically - editing their work.

That's not true at all. The company is in India, but the MTs are American. nm - LTMT

Wrong. It is stated right there in their ad. They - basically are getting you

to QA their offshore files at an editing line rate. Pretty clever, huh? Straight from their ad:

This position will include editing VR files, MT files, and offshore files
All I know is that I am an MT living in Colorado, not India. sm - LTMT

Fortunately, I have not had to do VR files with them (I detest VR), and I am not in QA so not involved with the editing of offshore files either.

It was my understanding that they hire only American MTs, but perhaps that is wrong. I can only speak for myself in that regard in that I am indeed an American.

It is hard to get around the India thing at first, I admit, but they pay a decent wage and it is always on time, and nowadays that means a lot, at least to me. Plus, the head of the MTs lives in Texas, and she is an absolute dream to work with!

Sorry for my misinformation about the offshore thing. I did not know.
