Anybody ever sent a tell-it-all resignation letter? - Just curious

Should have called it a "tell-it-like-you-feel-it" letter - OP

I think it would fall on deaf eyes. - pun intended

If they cared, they wouldn't do what they do in the first place. We are only an expendable commodity, not a human being with bills or feelings.

Welcome to evolution. Aren't we doing a great job of it? (Darwin must be rolling in his grave.)

It's only about money, and that's how it's going to be from now on. We had better get used to it.

I did. Made me feel a lot better. That's really why (sm) - me

I did it. I knew that was one bridge I could safely burn.

Resig letter - Noodles

Oh yes, I certainly did and felt amazing afterward. Funniest part is that it was a 30 day notice with all sorts of good junk in it as to the why...they accepted it and let me go immediately. Also, within 30 minutes disabled all of my passwords! I laughed and laughed because that was just so typical of what I had went through for 2 years with Nuance, who acquired my company and account, after working the same account for almost 12 years!! I didn't care a bit, almost lost my car and my place to live, but it was that awful working for them that I was willing to take that risk, and still glad I did!

I'm impressed. Sometimes you just hate where you are so bad (sm) - poster you replied to

that you just have to get out. I guess I was kind of lucky. I turned in my resignation to the CEO whose office was next to mine. He was out of the office at the time, and I literally threw it as far as I could so it would go way way in his locked door and I couldn't change my mind. ($$$ was good). I gave 2 weeks notice, and he told me that I could finish the week if I wanted to, and he would pay me for the second week so that I could look for something. We had discussed previously how it was no good for someone to hang around after they quit. I agreed. Really was one of the best things I ever did.

I was careful about not naming names but my tell-all gave a general description of the horrible management policies, etc.

Maybe send a copy to the Dept. of Labor - sm

It's time the gov't starts cracking down on these unfair and illegal practices by MT companies!

I do not believe in burning bridges. I kept mine short and to the point. nm - Just glad to be leaving

When MM let me go, I sent a letter to my team telling - the qa ppl how MM was shorting SM

them on pay and how they were not getting credit for 100% of the lines they edited. Only getting line count credit for 43% of those lines. I also told the team that the ridiculous email sent by the team lead stating 2 weeks notice to get 1-4 days off and a month notice to get more time off than that, was NOT MM policy, just some crap the TL had come up with.

I was able to do that cause at one point someone made the mistake of sending a team wide email listing the emails of the entire team.

It felt WONDERFUL and I got a couple of emails from team members wishing me well before MM cut off my email.

I did this at Synernet a few months ago. I just had to get everything off my chest, so I put it all in my resignation letter, but was as punctual and professional as possible while at time same time letting them know everything they were doing wrong and how horrible they were. Not sure if it did any good, but it at least gave me some satisfaction. I didn't care about burning any bridges as I would never work for them again if they were the last company on the planet.

Synernet exit - MT

[ In Reply To ..]
Very interesting that they still claim to have no idea why people leave, despite holding exit interviews, etc... What a bunch...

I did not, but I wish I had. I would not mind burning that bridge sm - Let freedom ring

as I hope to never return to that company. This is my first weekend away from them and I feel lighter than air, as if a 1000-pound weight has been lifted from me. I should have told them what I think about their horrible communication, secrecy for no reason, clique system for work distribution, crappy SR, pitiful pay rate, exhausting mandatory OT all summer, and more. I used to enjoy what I do, but while working for them, I dreaded punching in ... 8 hours of misery each day. I deserve a kick in the pants for waiting so long to leave.

Jun 14, 2014

sent it to the owner of the company and cc'd her admin asst, who hired me.  The AA accidentally replied back to the owner on that same email chain and forgot to delete my name so it was sent to me too, stating she was "ticked off" that I quit, that they had done "so much for me" and basically that it was my fault because I didn't communicate to them that I didn't have enough work.  Mind you, we had discussed this via email 3 weeks prior, that I wasn't making enough ...

Hi everyone! Last month, I posted on here that I resigned effective immediately. I had had enough of the crappy ESL doctors, the audits, the poor VR, etc., etc. I just want everyone to know there is hope. I found out today that I will be getting my husband's SS with a lump sum at the end of this month and monthly payments starting in August. The payments may be more than what I originally thought. I have also put out about 40 resumes and have only gotten one bite. that one bite is a ...

Anybody Else In The Letter Business?

The conglomerate I type for mostly (which is about 30 university clinics, each with 150 or so non-English-speaking residents) sends almost everything in "letter" form.  There is a useless letter standard, but I spend the first 1-2 minutes of the dictation on the address (and have to manually re-enter into the cc list), usually have to go Google to try to find how Dr. Swishandswash spells his name and address in Podunkville.  It is killing me.  There must be some way to stream ...

Letter To The Editor
May 23, 2012

Medical Transcriptionist Week began May 20th to recognize MTs over a week. The theme this year: Patient Safety. MTs across the country are transcribing medical records and are dedicated to being a 1st-line defense against errors that can negatively and sometimes fatally affect you as a patient - physicians make mistakes. MTs ensure those errors do not end up in your Electronic Medical Record.  Healthcare consumers are you aware that local hospitals are outsourcing their work to what are kno ...
