Any TTS info? - gemini

Just wondering any thoughts on TTS. I see they post a lot for openings, but not always a bad thing, may be expanding. Just looking for any positive or negative feedback. Thanks much!

but it is mostly negative. I have been with them for 20 months now. It was rough for the first 2-3 months because they are very exacting as far as your hours, your following account specs, getting good scores on your audits, and maintaining your lph. I came from an in-house environment that was similar and have been transcribing for 35 years and have an excellent work ethic. I show up on time, every day, and keep my quality scores 99 and above. No one is nasty to me anymore (were at first), but I do have a thick skin. In fact, now that I have stuck it out, kept my head low, people are actually quite nice to me. I have slowly built up to being proficient in 3 accounts and I move around to where they need me every day. My last check I averaged 281.71 lph and my hourly average was 10.42 per hour. Thankfully, I am only working to supplement my retirement because I could not live on that, but it suits my purposes. There test was multiple choice written and no transcription. Don't know if it has changed in 1-1/2 years though. Oh, and I rarely run out of work. I still need health insurance as I'm not 65 yet, and their insurance (UHC) is very reasonable. I pay $124 every 2 weeks for health/Rx/and dental. Now, I'll sit back and wait for all the negative comments. Sign me "I am not a suit".

Thanks for the info, that is helpful. I work for a hospital now and worry about learning new accounts with "an outsourcing company," but am just not busy enough where I am and they cut my hours to PT, which I cannot afford. I worry about reading everyone state they get fired for not completing "perfect work" and for minor errors. This I also could not afford. :(

Trust me, the reason they keep running ads is not due to expansion, it is due to loss of employees, a huge turnover. The loss of employees is due to incompetent micro management.

It isn't easy to get off some of the spam and phone call lists when you click for more information about some of these courses. I've found that for me, it isn't worth it to get that information if I am giving up my privacy. Some of these people are relentless! You can't get away from them once they get your information. My current CCM is one of the best of the many I've had. I had previously worked with her on this account from1999 until we were sold to MQ in 2005; she is my 6th or 7th CCM here at MedQuist. She is very familiar with our hospital, very friendly, easy to communicate with, quick to answer emails, and always keeps us up to date. So what is there to know about OSI before I make a life-changing decision? Minimum line count for FT? Approximate cpl for a "very experienced" MT, for straight typing; cpl for VR?
