Does anyone have a good answer to this?
At my company we rarely have too much work, and when we do, we catch up very quickly. Yet they keep hiring more people so when we have regular work flow there is not enough for everyone. Why do they do this?
We have 4 hour/day requirement and often it's hard to get those 4 hours in due to lack of work. And there was another job ad posted online this week.
We have a "popular" account, where many people are already like hungry sharks fighting for the few jobs that trickle in on it. So of course they add newbs to it. WHY? You already have established employees easily handling this account, why make more competition? It makes ZERO sense.
Are hiring people sadistic and enjoy watching us fight for crumbs? Because that's what it feels like.
