Tip jars - MTretired

Posted: Aug 20th, 2019 - 5:20 pm

The bakery where we go in our small town (10,000) has recently put out a tip jar for people to add to when they get their order.   Personally, I have asked them "Don't you get paid?"   Of course the answer is yes.   I then refuse to tip for doing their job.   Maybe if they went above and beyond but merely putting a donut in a bag is not a reason for leaving a tip.   I don't go to Starbucks so never tip there either.  What do you think?   Should we get tipped for doing our job?   I could just see the conversation now...You have a STAT, tip me $50 and the job will begin.  LOL.
