Are we the only workers NOT making more money in 2019? - sm

Posted: Apr 16th, 2019 - 7:02 pm

It appears with the costs increasing in rent, food, gas, cars, utilities, and insurance that most people are receiving cost of living increases and other raises.

Is the medical transcription industry the only industry where people are continually making less money in this economy?  It doesn't make any sense to be making line rates from 20 years ago still.

This is pure GREED on the part of the MTSO or either they're negotiating rates that are so ridiculously low that they can hardly afford to pay people to do the work.

As ICs, we should be making a minimum of $.10 a line to cover our expenses and to be able to buy health and disability insurance.
