They waived almost $2000 that I owed in 2016 after I paid what I could at the time and sent in the forms and supporting info. They actually were very helpful about it. I found a better job locally than the MTSO where I was so my finances have improved, but I remember how worried I was. It's worth a try. Meantime, good luck with the vocational rehab.
