IF, IF, IF you can find a job, you are going to be making less than minimum wage with strict audits requiring about 99.65% accuracy. You will sit for 10-12 hours waiting for 8 hours worth of work, and maybe not even get that. Whether you intend to be an IC or an employee, this is a brutal. Please read these boards about the working conditions, lay-offs, high demands, etc. It is all true. Most MTs with 10, 20 or more years cannot get jobs easily, and many are leaving this field because of no work, low pay, and the companies constantly changing your accounts and hours. You will be expected to work nights, weekends and holidays, even if the work is low. Most have what is called a cesspool. Different doctors and facilities all day long, with account specifications that are as long as a novel. You must refer to these with every dictator, then the company specs, and then BOS. Errors can cause your pay to be docked significantly, even a comma or a hyphen.

To get set up, you need to apply for jobs and complete company testing. Most will require at-home experience already. They will download the programming onto your computer. I sincerely hope you reconsider doing this after reading the boards on here.
