I made the switch, and it was the worst decision of my life.You'll get "flack" from the MTs at every turn. I remember correcting minor things, but not counting them off for it, then correcting major things (castration vs catheterization), and marking them down, only to be whined at about the minor things. They go crying to their supervisor, then the supervisor tells me to "be nice."
It was an hourly rate, but I ended up making about the same as the MT job, so I went back to MT. This was all before EVERYTHING went down the tubes. I quit all MT work 5 years ago.
