You all have trouble with fluency’s technology ASR because MModal is using the MT’s to fix and program the system. This started in 2009 when ASR became available and Medquist started using it. The MT’s fixed the reports that were unreadable for years, and that programmed ASR to work for medquist. That is when the MT’s took a huge cut in pay from high 20s to minimum wage. Medquist told them their job would be easier and faster and they would make more money so they paid them less, but actually it was much more time-consuming. MTs Kept their job waiting for this to happen ?! The profit MedQuist made from this went to the technology of ASR. This is one reason they are a multi million dollar company and the MTs are still severely underpaid. I don’t see this changing because they have gotten away with it for years. Your auto corrections and your glitches is ASR progressing. Getting in trouble for this, they don’t care, they use it to their advantage where they want.
If the thousands of MTs had got paid what they deserved this company would not have that profit. Do you really think typing medical reports makes $1 million business ? I know what the hospitals pay them.
So the United States MTs Trained ASR perfect enough to outsource to other countries!
