Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm curious if anyone has tried working for these companies who need transcriptionists for closed captioning, meeting minutes, etc. (in other words, the non-MTSOs that advertise here). How is the pay working out? Does it end up better than the pay for MT? Is there enough work? Is it all IC work? Is it temporary or permanent?
By now I'm pretty cynical that other transcription jobs would be any better than MT work/pay, but would like to hear your experiences. In which case maybe I'll reconsider. Thanks!
