The metric measurement cc (cubic centimeter) is no longer used, and we are substituting mL (milliliter)for liquid doses. So, even if the docs still say cc, we need to change it to mL. Also for the doses such as .5 mL, don't forget the leading zero, and it would be 0.5 mL. One exception to the cc rule is when something solid is being measured, such as the measurement of the prostate gland. That would remain as cc.
